6.20-29 Civil Referendum Arrangements

Occupy Central with Love and Peace 6.20-6.22 Civil Referendum

United We Stand Say NO to Fake Democracy

OCLP Secretariat commissioned Public Opinion Programme, The University of Hong Kong and Centre for Social Policy Studies of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to host the Civil Referendum from 20th to 22nd June, 2014. The objective is helping Occupy Central with Love and Peace (“OCLP”) to put forward specific proposals, principles and stance to HKSAR Government regarding the Chief Executive of HKSAR election in 2017 and obtaining the authorization of Hong Kong citizens.

All eligible electors in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card holder at the age of 18 or above) can vote on the following two motions on 6.20-6.22 Civil Referendum.

(1) Issue related to constitutional development proposals:

For CE Election 2017, I support OCLP to submit this proposal to the Government:

1. Alliance for True Democracy Proposal

2. People Power Proposal

3. Students Proposal

Abstention

Regarding the voting of this motion, OCLP Secretariat will choose the proposal which obtained the highest number of votes as the proposal OCLP supports and endorses, regardless of the percentage of abstain vote, blank vote or invalid vote.

(2) Issue related to the principles of constitutional development:

If the government proposal cannot satisfy international standards allowing genuine choices by electors, Legislative Council (“Legco”) should veto it. My stance is:

‧ LegCo should veto

‧ Legco should not veto

‧ Abstention

Residents can choose either one motion to vote or vote for both motions.

Residents can vote through website (popvote.hk) or mobile apps “Popvote” during 20 June 2014 (Friday) noon to 22 June 2014 (Sunday) 9pm. Or they can vote at the following polling stations from 10am to 10pm on 22 June 2014.
